Henry Technologies offers high-pressure ball valves for transcritical CO2 systems

For commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration applications, Henry Technologies manufactures an array of CO2 components including: oil management controls, valves, sight glasses and safety devices. At Chillventa 2014 in Nuremburg, Henry Technologies launched a new line of high-pressure ball valves for transcrtical CO2 up to 120 barg. +PHOTOS

Working closely with clients on product development, and identifying the market trend toward natural refrigerants, Henry Technologies is leading the way as an expert in subcritical and transcritical CO2 components, some of which can be tailor-made upon request.

In 2014 the Glasgow-based company marked 100 years of design and manufacturing expertise, with its products covering Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.

High Pressure Ball Valves for CO2

The new series of ball valves can be used for both liquid and gas applications to provide isolation. The valves are bi-directional flow with an indicator on the stem which shows valve position – open or closed.

  • Sealing materials optimised for CO2 (R744)
  • Allowable operating temperature -40˚C to 120˚C
  • Allowable operating pressure: up to 120 bar
  • Valve body, adaptor, ball and seal cap are made of brass
  • Stem made of stainless steel
  • Pipe extensions made of K65 copper
  • Double O-ring stem seal design
  • Helium leak tested
  • Premium quality TFMTM ball seals
  • PTFE cap seal – acts as a secondary seal
