The latest monitoring report by the European Retail Forum for Sustainability shows what progress participating retailers have made in 2010 with regards to taking the environment into consideration in their business decisions.

Several initiatives in 2010 by retailers participating in the European Retail Forum for Sustainability focused on reducing the environmental impact of refrigeration through improving energy efficiency and reducing refrigerant leakage.

Some retailers have been introducing CO2-based refrigeration, a measure recommended as good practice that retailers could introduce as part of their sustainability commitments.
